✨ The Finishing Touches✨ are quite possibly my favorite part of the transformation process. ⁣

From the beginning, this dresser took me on a journey. I had no plan other than the general color scheme and was honestly stumped on how to execute it, so I started with black and let the piece talk along the way. The end result seems so obvious but trust me, it wasn’t 😅. The hardware is original and OMG ISN’T IT STUNNING. 😍 I’ve definitely never seen anything like it. ⁣

Anyway, I hope you enjoy a little glimpse of what the last steps of a project look like! Here I’m using both gold and copper gilding waxes for extra depth and dimension. ✨🖤⁣

Every year, without fail, the paranormal activity

Every year, without fail, the paranormal activity in our house spikes in August. When we moved in ten years ago, we immediately started to experience otherworldly things: seeing orbs, apparitions, dreams of children that had lived here, objects moving, pianos playing, footsteps, you name it - we had it. ⁣

Over the years, it has become our normal and we’ve learned to integrate it into our everyday lives (hence the name, ‘Haunte’). 🖤 It is never dark, always friendly, but for those that experience it with us, it is most certainly strange and unusual. ⁣

Recently, for the first time ever, I got the chance to tell some of our 👻 stories in an interview with Lindsey from @thechillingpodcast. In her newest season, she interviews all sorts of different people about their otherworldly experiences. She is VERY intuitive and our conversation took many fun twists and turns, some neither of us could have predicted! 👽 ✨👻 🔮⁣

We have officially been in our 1882 farmhouse for 10 years. 😅 🎉 We have tirelessly transformed every inch of it, and will continue to do so for as long as we are able! I always say it’s like one big long never ending art project. ⁣🎨 ⁣

Over the past two years, we built an addition to give us more living space and a much needed first floor bathroom. After designing it, we hired framers, but then Freddie and I took over after drywall was finished. Tile, paint, trim, ligthing, finish work, etc. was all us. Here’s a little glimpse of that process! ⁣
